Take action today to eliminate the problem behaviour of your pet and start to enjoy your pet!
Who am I?
I am Ingrid Van Overbeke, a Belgian-educated veterinarian and Postgraduate in Companion Animal Behaviour & Welfare. I was born in Belgium and moved to Ottawa in the summer of 2016.
“Feeling angry and guilty about behavioural problems in your pet is very natural! You can take action today and start with a modification program that will restore the relationship with your pet.
”
My Mission
Work with you towards behaviour solutions using positive and force-free methods, respecting the needs of you and the welfare of your pet.
My work area is the Ottawa region and I only do home-visits or visits on sites where the problem behaviour is occuring to ensure a personal and relevant guidance. My goal is to change/eliminate problem behaviour on site.
“Unwanted behaviour or behaviour problems in pets can occur in any home. They will not disappear by themselves. But with a good treatment program, most of them can be resolved! ”

What's the process?
- Make an appointment by email or phone
- 1 week before the first consultation: I will send an inquiry form. This inquiry form allows me to map out the history of the reported behaviour problem. It is essential that I am informed of all possible details concerning your pet, its health situation, its living environment and the circumstances of the behaviour.
- First consultation: I will come to your home to see and talk about the problem behaviour.
- Second consultation: discussion of treatment plan respecting your (and your pet's) needs. All training exercises will be thoroughly explained and shown. You will also get a written hand-out. I will be available by phone or email in between sessions to guide you through the exercises.
- Follow-up training sessions with possibility to adjust the treatment program. In general 4 follow-up training sessions are needed.
- Additional training sessions can be provided if necessary or wanted.
“Remember you are not alone in this process! I will be there to help you!”
